Nick Alselmo // Devisor

Nick Alselmo is a graduate from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts with a BFA in contemporary dance. In addition to starting his own company based in Brooklyn called The Pocket Fuel Groovers in 2020, Nick freelances as a performer and has worked with Abarukas, Johnnie Cruise Mercer, Emotions Physical Theatre, The New York City Children’s Theater and many more. Nick has been obsessed with music his whole life, and DJing since his college days. He has been spinning under the moniker DJ Scenick Roots since 2021.

Bryanna Bradley // Devisor

Bryanna Bradley (she/they) is a Long Island born (Matinecock) and Southeast Queens (Lekawe/Lenape) bred multidisciplinary performer with a Berkshires Massachusetts (Mohican) twang. She trained with Urban Bush Women at The School at Jacob’s Pillow and shadowed Camille A. Brown through her Black Girl Spectrum Program. She was a lead performer in 2022 MacArthur Fellow Tavares Strachan’s exhibition The Awakening at the New York Marian Goodman Gallery. Her work buck:an exploration of black masculinity premiered in visual artist Nick Cave’s exhibition Until at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA).

Caroline Burkhart // Devisor

Caroline Burkhart is an interdisciplinary theatre maker, movement director, and performer based in New York City. Her work explores the intersections of dance and theatre through pedestrian and theatrical movement, found text and images, improvisation and laughter. Caroline has developed new work with various artists across NYC, and has most recently performed at The Brick, Target Margin Theater, and MoMA PS1. BA Sarah Lawrence College. Carolineburkhart.com

Michaela Esteban // Devisor

Michaela Esteban is a Filipina-American performer based in NYC. Currently, she is a resident of the acclaimed immersive show Sleep No More. She also dances with the Stephen Petronio Company and SAXYN Dance Works in addition to freelancing around New England. Recent collaborators include GREYZONE and c/s movement projects.  Michaela holds a BFA in Dance from the University of Michigan and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Doris Humphrey Foundation for Dance. She is so excited to exorcise!

 

Nina Field // Sound Designer

Jerry Soto // Devisor

Jerry Soto is an Actor, Voice Over Artist, Singer and Guitarist who started his acting career at the University of Puerto Rico and trained with the prestigious theater groups Malayerba (Ecuador) and Yuyachkani (Peru). In NYC his theatre work has been recognized with various awards including HOLA, ACE and ATI. Look for the song Brave One by Carmen Borla, the guitars you hear, yeah, Jerry played that! He loves his performance based life that includes his work as Commentator and TV Host for WWE. Jerry Soto loves hugs and conversations!

Zahydé Pietri // Devisor

Zahydé Pietri (she/her) is a Puerto Rican actress, artist, and teaching artist based in NYC. Along with Amy Shoshana Blumberg and Kate St. John, she is Co-Producing Artistic Director of the after-image. Most recently she has been onstage as performer and devisor in the after-image’s Let’s Exorcise! and House of American Activities, and as actor and puppeteer in Grand Pistachio’s Layer the Walls II. She was the voice of WWE's Female Division in Spanish on RAW and SmackDown. She has trained and been onstage in Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Perú and NYC.

Diana Pou // Devisor

Diana Pou is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, Dominican actress, singer, and bilingual voiceover artist based in New York. HOLA, ATI, LATA and TALIA Awards (2022-2023) recipient as Best Leading Actress for playing "B" in Boundless Theatre Company's production of "Mercado Libre.” 

She recently debuted in the Honduran movie "La Condesa” available on Amazon Prime. She's also a member of the music duo "TeTxtié" with the Puerto Rican artist Gilberto Gabriel. Their most recent single "Sal Pa' Fuera" is available on every digital music platform. www.dianapou.com

Courtney Bryan Devon // Devisor

(they/them) is a Black, Queer, nonbinary Theatremaker, Somatic Healer, and Arts Educator. Cultivating an eclectic arts education that is continually reinvested into marginalized communities as a teaching artist, Courtney proudly serves as the Rosetta LeNoire Academy director at Amas Musical Theatre and Education Committee presenter for the 2023 Shakespeare Theatre Association international conference. Courtney is most enlivened in enriching and connecting communities through creativity, believing in the universal power of the arts and storytelling to facilitate environments of learning, healing, transformative justice, and radical joy. @Coourtinator

Ciera Mackenzie // Devisor

Tad Cameron // Devisor

Tad Cameron is an Atlanta native with a degree in Theatre and Performance Studies from Kennesaw State University. After a bizarre and trying few years, Tad is thrilled to be creating new work in the city. An NYC-based actor, Tad has also worked as a director, playwright, clown, instrumentalist, and improviser all across the country. He gives many thanks to friends and family who have helped through this whole mess.

Sarah Constable // Costume Designer

Sarah Constable is a Brooklyn based costume designer and is very excited to be collaborating with the after-image. She has worked with Walt Disney World, Stella Adler, NYU, The Public Theater and many others. You can see her work at www.sarahconstable.com

Alyssa Virji // Devisor

Alyssa Virji is a bit of a Drama Queen. Well, enough of one to get a BFA in Drama from NYU where she spent time at Stonestreet Studios, Experimental Theatre Wing and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Previous credits include: Mid Shift (short film), Marcy Avenue (short film), 12 Angry Animals, Uncle Vanya, Private Lives and Mooncop; as well as producing theatre pieces for NAMT, Live & In Color and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Vida Manalang // Dramaturg

Vida Manalang (they/she) is a Philadelphia-transplant living in Manhattan and proud cat-parent to Gary Beans. Thinker of thoughts, holder of space, and asker of questions. They love weird things, fun things, silly things, authentic things, and eating cereal at 10pm. Novice ice skater. Intermediate guitar player. Expert joy experiencer. Vida combines her work as a researcher, therapist-in-training, teaching artist, actor, and devisor into an amorphous blob rotating around a central point of storytelling = healing. Dakota Silvey // Stage Manager

Dakota Silvey is a playwright, wildland firefighter and stage manager. Selected credits include: Almost, Maine (S.M.) Gridlock, From Prison II Purpose (S.M.), THE DEATH OF TRUTH/TRUTH HAS DIED (S.M.), She Kills Monsters (S.M.), Peter and the Starcatcher (S.M.), Hoppla, we’re alive! (Dramaturg), The Laramie Project (Dramaturg), The Importance of Being Earnest (S.M. Intern), and Thoroughly Modern Millie (A.S.M.) He graduated from The New School in the spring with his B.A. in Creative Writing.

Yang Yu // Lighting Designer

Yang Yu is a New York based lighting designer. Her design focus is to use light, space, and rhythm to create an emotionally charged environment. Productions include lighting design for Revolution (The Tank), The Shes (The Public Theater); lighting and set design for St. Vincent’s Project (Rattlestick Playwrights Theater). Yoonie Yun // Stage Manager

Yoonie Yun (She/Her) is a stage manager, director and lighting designer currently based in NYC. She graduated with her M.A. degree in Theatre and Performance from the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Elizabeth Atkinson

Elizabeth Atkinson (Sound Designer) is delighted to be working with the after-image for the first time. Liz currently resides in Philadelphia, after many years in Pittsburgh as Resident Sound Designer at the City Theatre Company. Her freelance career includes regional theatre credits at Arden Theatre Company, The Wilma, Theatre Exile, Simpatico Theatre Project, InterAct Theatre, and Inis Nua Theatre. Liz has also had the honor of exhibiting at the 2007, 2011 and 2015 Prague Quadrennials.

Marcus Barainyak

Marcus Barainyak is an Actor/Writer from Philadelphia, PA, and an enthusiastic collaborator/deviser who loves working with the fabulous team at the after-image.  He is a Resident Company Member at The Phoenix Theatre, and has a BA in Theater with an Acting Concentration from Temple University. He likes to keep busy, learn, and stay creative.

Hannah Brannau

Hannah Brannau is a founding member of Acting Without Boundaries, a non-profit theatre group for actors with physical disabilities. While at Saint Joseph’s University, she performed with the SJU Theater Company and Followed By A Bear, and earned a BA in English Literature. Some performance credits include: The Media Theater, Waiting For Rain, videos with Buzzfeed promoting representation for the disabled community, and The Phoenix Theater’s The Glass Menagerie.

Tariq Kanu

Tariq Kanu is a Philadelphia-based actor from Maryland. Tariq is a recent graduate of Temple University, performing in Lynn Nottage’s Fabulation, an immersive rendering of Shakespeare’s Cymbeline, and Romeo and Juliet, among others. He also performed in the after-image’s production of RE: She at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival. Tariq is proud to collaborate with a company focused on providing its performers and artists a seat at the table, all while sharing uplifting and reflective work to audiences.

Eliana Fabiyi

Eliana Fabiyi is an actor and sound designer based in Philadelphia, PA. Michael-Anthony Souza is an artist living in Harlem where he spends most of his days problem solving. As an actor and director he is dedicated to keeping children involved in the arts. Ash Tetreault

Ash Tetreault is RE: SHE’s production stage manager. They graduated from Temple University in May 2018 with a BA in Theater, and stage managed a show in the Philadelphia Fringe Festival last year. At the end of the show run, Ash will be moving to Virginia. They couldn't be more proud that this is their last show in Philly and can't wait to see what the future holds.

Jonah Reeder is glad to be assistant stage managing RE: SHE. He is currently a senior theater student at Temple University.
